Tonight there is going to be an episode about little old me on OPB Art Beat. You can watch it tonight, Thursday May 12th at 8:00pm or on Sunday May 15th at 6:00pm if you live in Oregon. If you don't, you can also see it online here after it has screened. I have not seen it myself and I am so curious. Support public television!

Finally I made something big! So satisfying. Also at the amazing place called the Frakybuttrue Peculiarium you can find the Church of Ice Cream where they serve treats like Sundae Bloody Sundae (with real worms on top if you insist). And above this craziness floats my Ancient Deity of Ice Cream and Real Estate. Here is a photo of him when he was still at my house, but I'll post one from the actual church soon!
The Freakybuttrue Peculiarium is a new gallery/oddity museum/ joke shop/ice cream store unlike anything you've ever seen. As if that wasn't reason enough to visit them, there's also going to be a show of my sculptures:

Robot Love is a show at The Good Gallery here in Portland. It's an amusing group show in its third year and I am going to have a piece in it this year. Opening February 4th! Good times.

I am going to be a featured speaker at Animasyros in Greece. It's an animation festival on the island of Syros and I will be talking about design for commercial content. It's been a long time since I have been to Greece and I can't wait!
Hoooray! I opened up shop on etsy. I have all the work from the Planet Astroturf show up for sale right now and will keep adding more, so please check back often! Hopefully some people who didn't know me before will stumble across my work and decide that they can't live without having a Gesine creature in their living room!

I made a music video for the band Digital Knife. It's a little different from my usual work, but it was fun exploring new looks and techniques.
Check out The Goonies show at Lunar Boy Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. I have a Goonies (as in the 80's cult movie) themed sculpture in this group show. The gallery also sells my rock critters year-round!
My solo show Life on Planet Astroturf at the Black Wagon in Portland, Oregon just closed. It was a great success and super fun. Some of the planets are still available!
